BB creams—also known as blemish balms or beauty balms—are all the rage in Asia. Now brands like Clinique, Estée Lauder, Dior Beauty, Boscia, 3Lab, and Dr. Brandt Skincare, to name just a few, are rolling them out here. This new breed of tinted moisturizer was created to calm skin, smooth wrinkles, and diminish dark circles. I’ve been using Omorovicza’s (near left), which contains soft-focus powders to mask flaws. I’m not a big fan of lip gloss—it’s goopy and sticky. So I was happy to hear that Yves Saint Laurent’s creative director for makeup, Lloyd Simmonds (left), had a few gloss horror stories of his own, including one backstage with makeup artist Pat McGrath. “Pat would count down the seconds before each model walked out on the runway, and we’d apply the gloss at the last moment,” he recalled. “By the time they came back, it was about to drip down their chins.” In response, Simmonds created YSL’s Rouge Pur Couture Glossy Stain. This lipstick-stain-gloss hybrid comes in 20 shades, all completely drip-free. ($32, yslbeautyus.com)

I love white—clothes, furniture, snow, and products in my (of course, white) bathroom. The four latest additions (clockwise, from above): Chantecaille’s spring Coral Reefs Palette; Clarisonic’s new brush for troubled skin from its Acne Clarifying Collection; Sen7’s travel perfume atomizer; and Solano’s 3300 XtraLite blow-dryer, which is also the lightest one I’ve ever held. ($79, chantecaille.com; $169, clarisonic.com; $39, sen7-shop.com; $159, ulta.com)

Dr. Frank Lipman is to me what Alice was to the kids on The Brady Bunch—always checking in to make sure I’m staying healthy. Now he’s updated his Be Well program: There’s the Cleanse shake, for a 14-day detox, and the Sustain shake, which subs for a meal. The one I usually grab is Greens; it’s the equivalent of a daily dose of vegetables. Good for those times when you know the broccoli just ain’t going to happen. ($59 for 28 packs, bewellbydrfranklipman.com)

London-based manicurist Charlotte Knight recently debuted a nail polish line, Ciaté, at Sephora, but it’s her Caviar Manicure that I’m dying to try. The kit comes with an array of tiny glass beads in white, bronze, black, and multihued (above), which you layer on top of your painted talons (apply to lips at your own risk). “The next big thing in nails is 3-D applications,” Knight told me. “But if you’re not careful, you can easily veer into tacky territory. These minuscule beads are so discreet.” ($25, sephora.com)
