The photographer Gray Malin, known for his beach-y prints, debuted his latest series The Art of Living, during Frieze London this week at Le Méridien Piccadilly, where they will be on display for the rest of the month. To create the images, he built a floating, 15-foot by 15-foot mirrored platform over the stunning blue waters of Bora Bora, upon which he installed iconic midcentury Modernist furniture. (That was no easy feat — he battled waves and intense heat in the hours it took to construct each shot.) “This series challenges the viewer to question the conventional way in which we experience man-made design against the natural environment,” he said. Here, your first look.
