Checking in at Gosha Rubchinksiy’s Youth Hotel
Kids in Putin t-shirts and high-rise jeans, skateboards, and a sleepy pile of kittens are among the subjects captured by photographer and fashion designer Gosha Rubchinksiy in his new book, “Youth Hotel” (IDEA). In muted tones, Rubchinksiy’s work mixes Soviet themes with imagery of contemporary Russian youth. Printed in an edition of 500 copies, the book launches with a 5pm signing at Dover Street Market London on the 15th. Add it to your Frieze schedule now.
“Youth Hotel” by Gosha Rubchinskiy, $45, exclusively available at DSM New York, London, Ginza, and Comme des Garcons Trading Museum.
