A Sultry Gigi Hadid Stands Out Amongst Giambattista Valli’s Flouncy Florals

For his latest trick, Italian designer Giambattista Valli produced a whole bouquet of ruffled, dainty flowers from his hat. They adorned, floor-skimming gowns, minidresses, strong-shouldered windbreakers, and flouncy skirts were just the antidote for the suddenly frosty Paris weather. Yet amid all the springtime optimism, the collection was punctuated by a darker, sultrier streak: Gigi Hadid and a few other models stalked down the runway in all-black ensembles, Hadid in a bra, lace skirt, and oversized, poofy-sleeved jacket that proved a compelling contrast.
