Dive into a world of playful elegance with Loewe’s spring 2024 precollection. In collaboration with Kyoto-based ceramic studio, Suna Fujita, Loewe’s iconic leather goods are reimagined with hand-painted characters — penguins, pandas, lemurs, and more. Suna Fujita’s work draws on childhood memories to create intricate scenes and nostalgia-provoking motifs. Typically painted onto everyday ceramics like teapots, cups, and plates, these depictions are transported to Loewe’s signature bags, wallets, and accessories for the holidays.

The unexpected partnership turned into an ideal fusion of a storied brand and a duo of talented artisans. Loewe spearheaded the design process by selecting its favorite artwork, and then Shohei Fujita and Chisato Yamano, the artists behind Suna Fujita, journeyed to Paris for the final refinements. Fujita elaborates, "Our role was to convey the overall vision and design the characters. We typically work independently, so witnessing the collaborative efforts of numerous individuals bringing the pieces to life was an immensely enjoyable experience for us."

Small leather goods and delicate ornaments feel innately collectible — a treasurable gift for someone special this holiday season. Cardholders and tri-fold wallets are designed in contrasting hues of crisp winter-blue and bright orange with a trio of penguins soaring across the front. A matching hand-blown glass ornament hangs from a glittering jacquard bow printed with the Loewe logo.

The brand’s beloved silhouettes return for the season with charming details. A hand-painted lemur hangs from its tail off the strap of a Hammock bag — a multifunctional silhouette crafted from supple tobacco calfskin with a detachable, adjustable strap — while a curious panda reaches for a branch extending from the top a forest-green Puzzle bag. A familiar pair of penguins resurfaces on the Medium Puzzle Fold tote, and the Flamenco clutch — a masterpiece of minimalist elegance — makes a bold appearance in a vivid orange hue.
