The Natural Beauty Look Is In at Tom Ford
With a little extra shimmer, polish, and sex appeal, of course. It is Tom Ford, after all.
At once overtly sexy and masterfully understated, the glamorous looks Tom Ford presented in his Fall 2016 show at the Four Seasons last night were punctuated by makeup that served to highlight and exaggerate the nature-made beauty of the models, rather than adorn them with glittery bells and dark matte whistles. And like the clothing, which is available for purchase today, the makeup used in the show can be bought now.
In a live video interview backstage, Philippe Chansel, Tom Ford’s Beauty Director of Innovation and Product Development, explained the look. “It’s very, very natural. Mr. Ford was very enthused by the [natural] beauty of the models… It’s kind of grooming, and polishing and giving the models just a slightly better than real [look], but it still looks very real and fresh.” To create the Fall 2016 beauty look, he used the brand’s new eyeshadow and lip duo, which includes shades of shimmering bronze and brown, as well as a previously existing blush in a hue called Love Lust. As a bonus, Chansel also revealed that both the makeup products and a new Tom Ford fragrance all secrete the smell of luxurious leather. Watch the video above for more.
