Rita Ora Lets Her Vetements Do the Talking
In an oversized sweatshirt-dress by Vetements, singer Rita Ora proves she’s not looking back at her personal and professional drama.
Who: Rita Ora.
When: Tuesday, July 19.
Where: Out and about in New York City.
What: A Vetements graphic sweatshirt-dress and red boots.
Why: Last week in an interview with Capital FM, Ora confirmed that she was finally recording the long-awaited follow-up to her last album, which was released in 2012. She’s been plagued with label drama ever since — ex-boyfriend Calvin Harris rescinding permission for her to perform hit track “I Will Never Let You Down” at the 2014 Teen Choice Awards (he produced the track), forcing her to cancel. But now, with a rumored burgeoning acting career, a new record on the way, and a hosting gig with America’s Next Top Model, Ora seems to be moving on, and, if this Vetements look is any indicator, she’s making a subtle statement that she is not looking back. It doesn’t get much more direct than “May the bridges I burn light the way.”
