Reese Witherspoon and Daughter Ava Phillippe Love Wearing Coordinating Outfits
Reese Witherspoon may be 23 years older than her daughter Ava Phillippe, but no one could be faulted for occasionally assuming the pair are sisters. That was especially the case when the mother-daughter duo was recently photographed in Beverly Hills in a pair of coordinating, short-sleeve, floral dresses. (Witherspoon’s happens to come from her own lifestyle brand, Draper James). Both blondes paired the look with translucent-framed sunglasses and a few gold bracelets and rings. Witherspoon, 40, opted for a bright yellow purse and matching heels, while Phillippe, 17, went for a more muted beige purse and matching heels.
This is far from the first time that the actress and her teen daughter have dawned coordinated ensembles. At the recent premiere of HBO’s Big Little Lies, in which Reese Witherspoon stars alongside Nicole Kidman, Shailene Woodley and Laura Dern, both women looked stunning in long-sleeve, belted metallic dresses. Not only did their silhouettes match, but so did their loose updos and facial expressions. Witherspoon later shared an adorable photo of her and Phillippe on Instagram from the event.
Meanwhile, both gals have posted photos on Instagram of the two of them, proving they are fully aware of how much the rest of the world enjoys their similarities. Back when Phillippe had pink hair (Elle Woods would totally approve), she shared a selfie of her and her mom, showing off their matching blue eyes. And to celebrate New Year’s, Witherspoon shared a sweet selfie on Instagram, featuring her and Phillippe making the same pose at the camera.
Ultimately, if Phillippe ends up becoming an actress, she’d make a great young Elle Woods in a Legally Blonde prequel.
