Kylie Jenner Wore a See-Through, Crystal-Covered Dress for a Mystery Photo Shoot With Her Family

Mere days after Kendall freed the nipple on the red carpet in London.

While the rest of us were whiling away the final hours of the workday on Thursday fully clothed and behind a desk, Kylie Jenner was swanning around a studio somewhere in Southern California in a completely see-through, bejeweled gown. The makeup mogul shared several photos of her daring getup on Instagram—on both her feed and her Story because the look was just that important.

Two of the pictures, one of which is made even more dramatic thanks to Portrait Mode, are shot from Jenner’s left side as she sits cross-legged on a couch, wearing the ankle-length, long-sleeve dress and with her platinum blonde hair styled in a high ponytail with bouncy curled ends. Jenner also captured her outfit in an angled mirror selfie, giving a more complete view of the gown’s crewneck and crystal-encrusted texture, and of the nude underwear she wore underneath.

The overall effect is strikingly similar to the look older sister Kendall Jenner wore earlier this week to the British Fashion Awards in London. While walking the red carpet at Monday’s event, the supermodel sported a gold, crystal-covered Julien Macdonald gown with long sleeves and a slit all the way up to her left hip. Unlike her younger sister, however, Kendall opted to wear only a nude thong beneath the see-through dress, thereby simultaneously freeing the nipple and making good on her 2016 proclamation to W that, “I’m weird, I love my tits being out.”

It’s unclear what photo shoot required Jenner to take a leaf out of her older sister’s style book, but we do know that all the Kardashian-Jenner ladies were in attendance at the shoot, and that, though it wasn’t initially organized as such, it may have eventually produced their Christmas-card picture. Kim and Khloé Kardashian both shared photos in their Instagram Stories of their own sparkly outfits: Kim in a glittery beige dress and Khloé in a bedazzled bra top and matching eye shadow. Kendall, meanwhile, took the “sparkly” memo a different way, opting instead for a metallic gold dress, which she teased in a close-up mirror selfie.

Neither Kourtney Kardashian nor Kris Jenner documented the family gathering on social media, but Kim assured her Twitter followers that they were there and that she was considering seizing the opportunity to kill two birds with one stone. “Ok I have al [sic] of my sisters and my mom on set! I’m trying to surprise them with a Christmas Card shoot but just thought of this idea and Kanye is out of town! ? What do I do????” she tweeted on Thursday afternoon. Keep an eye out for a Christmas card featuring an obviously Photoshopped-in, glittery-dress-wearing Kanye.
