Karlie Kloss Took a Pedicab to the 2017 Met Gala
Karlie Kloss figured out how to beat the infamous New York City traffic on her way to the Met Gala: by riding there in a pedicab.
On Monday, the model tweeted a video of herself in full hair and makeup zooming through Central Park on a pedicab. Her entourage was behind her in another man-powered taxi, and they’re rushing to get to the museum in time to hit the red carpet before the main event begins.
“This is how we get to the Met,” she explains to the camera. “Riding in style! Beats the traffic, too.”
Kloss’s full look isn’t visible in the video, she only gives a sneak peek of a look with a black blazer with a white lapel. Her hair is bleached blonde and styled in a straight bob, a cut which she showed off on Twitter earlier today. Meanwhile, her model legs are draped out of the side of the open-air cab, which means she may be wearing something short. She doesn’t seem to be stressed at all about the wind messing with her look, which is an admirable level of #chill on the biggest fashion night of the year.
Later she revealed her full look: a black and white Carolina Herrera tuxedo dress.
This isn’t Karlie Kloss’s first time going totally rogue at the Met Gala: Last year, she and designer Brandon Maxwell took a pair of scissors to her floor-length gown and cut it into an above-the-knee after-party dress. Talk about someone who is willing to take control of a situation and live her life at the Met Gala to the absolute fullest.
