George and Amal Clooney Make First Appearance Since Pregnancy Announcement
Carrying twins while being a human rights lawyer and an international celebrity can’t be the easiest thing in the world, but Amal Clooney is certainly making it look glamorous. Tonight in Paris at the 2017 César Film Awardsm the expectant mother stepped out on the red carpet with her husband, one George Clooney, wearing a custom-made Atelier Versace gown that showcased her changing figure.
Much like the memorable blue Atelier Versace gown Blake Lively wore while pregnant at the Cannes Film Festival last year, the dress kept Clooney’s shoulders bare with her midsection on display, and featured intricate embellishment along the skirt and through the train. In her classic, old Hollywood way, Clooney completed the look with drop earrings and a matching minaudière, with red lipstick and her hair in soft waves.
Versace took part in another big motherhood style moment today, welcoming Behati Prinsloo back onto the runway after having her first child in September. The last time Prinsloo walked in a show was also for Versace in January of last year.
Earlier this week we learned that the Clooneys would be altering their travel schedule now that Amal is expecting. Between Amal’s work as an attorney and George’s humanitarian efforts, the couple frequently travel to unstable parts of the world. George told Paris Match that getting pregnant changed their perspective on these trips, at least for now. The actor also mentioned that the couple would eventually settle down in one of their many residences.
“We have the chance to live between three countries: Italy, America and England,” he told the magazine. “But as soon as the children go to school, it’ll be necessary to choose where to settle. In the meantime, we will continue to move according to our respective schedule.”
Amal might have worn the feathers tonight but George is clearly the one in nesting mode.

Amal Alamuddin was the epitome of Italian chic on the eve of her wedding to George Clooney. The lawyer paired a black-and-white striped Dolce & Gabanna dress with textured slingbacks, oversized black sunglasses, and a hatbox, which read “A&G Venezia 2014.” Aw, bella!

Later that evening, Alamuddin changed into a dramatic Alexander McQueen gown—just the ticket for celebrations with family and friends.
