After the Storm

Last Thursday, New Orleans native Cleo Wade gave back to her hometown in a monumental way in the form of a public art installation honoring the victims of Hurricane Katrina. In observance of the 10-year anniversary of the devastating storm, the young poet and artist dreamt up a billboard that speaks to the city’s unsinkable spirit. On view through the fall in the city’s historic French Quarter, Wade’s sign is a reminder of the power of hope in the face of destruction.
