Ciara Is Pregnant With Baby Number Two
The 31-year-old singer announced on Instagram that she’s expecting her first child with NFL quarterback Russell Wilson, whom she wed in July.
Ciara is a pro when it comes to Instagram announcements, and almost one year after revealing her engagement to NFL quarterback Russell Wilson, the singer shared in the wee hours of Wednesday morning that they are expecting their first child together.
Yesterday was also Ciara’s 31st birthday, and in the caption of her intimate black-and-white photo she wrote: “On this special Birthday I received an abundance of love from friends and family… and I’m excited to finally share one of the Greatest Gifts of All that God could give…” Followed by many baby-themed emojis.
This announcement comes just months after the couple’s wedding, which took place in July at an English castle. Ciara wore a stunning dress designed by Peter Dundas, who was told that the bride wanted a true “fairytale wedding.” And perhaps this is too personal, but the quickness of the couples childbearing comes as no surprise, as it was public knowledge that they were practicing abstinence until they were officially man and wife…
Ciara was formerly engaged to the rapper Future, whom she had one son with — also named Future. During her pregnancy in 2014, she told W magazine: “Pregnancy has been a great fashion challenge because you can’t wear things that you used to wear but you still want to feel like who you are.”
For the second time around, however, we have no doubt Ciara — a certified red carpet style star — will find something to wear.

“Pregnancy has been a great fashion challenge because you can’t wear things that you used to wear but you still want to feel like who you are,” Ciara says. “I have to pay some credit to my fiancé’s closet, because I have worn probably all of his clothes.”
“That lady has truly been the perfect example of evolving and recreating,” she says of Angelina Jolie.
“I believe I wasn’t given this platform to perform in front of millions just for the sake of dancing and singing,” she says. “There’s gotta be something more to it.”
