A Very Festive Anna Cleveland Shows You How to Do Holiday Dressing Right
While Americans spent Wednesday buried in their kitchens, preparing pies, turkeys, and potatoes, across the pond, a few chic Brits were having a grand old time out on the party circuit. Rita Ora, one-time pop star, current fashion mogul (with a hosting gig on America’s Next Top Model as well as an ongoing collaboration with Adidas), took over the art-filled Ivy Chelsea Garden restaurant to celebrate her latest Adidas collection — her 15th, and reportedly her last. Naturally, she wore pieces from her own line to the event — though she’s also said she’s hard at work on her solo design debut — while she mingled with Brit icons like Noel Gallagher and Anna Cleveland. The daughter of legendary model Pat Cleveland, and a budding supermodel in her own right, with fans like Moschino’s Jeremy Scott and Marc Jacobs, Cleveland debuted a festive metallic Isa Arfen dress coupled with an embroidered blazer.
Who: Anna Cleveland.
When: Wednesday, November 23.
Where: A dinner celebrating Rita Ora’s collaboration with Adidas Originals at The Ivy Chelsea Garden in London, England.
What: A silver metallic ankle-length slip dress with a knot detail at the waist by Isa Arfen with black boots and an embroidered blazer.
Why: Cleveland eschews sportswear (though it’s an Adidas party, after all) and opts instead for something a bit more glamorous. Her Isa Arfen slip dress, which recently debuted on Selfridges, sets a high bar for holiday dressing. It’s the perfect transitional piece for winter: floor-length, easily layered with tights and a jacket, but still bold and festive when taken alone. When it comes to holiday looks, it’s hard to go wrong with metallics, sparkles, and decadent embroidered details. Isa Arfen designer Serafina Sama described Cleveland as “girl crush of the day” in a recent Instagram post — we’re definitely not arguing.
