Each year, the Screen Actors Guild Awards allows Hollywood to toast Hollywood. Sandwiched between the party-disguised-as-awards-show that is the Golden Globes and the definitively serious affair of the Academy Awards, the SAGs brings together the worlds of film and television for a slightly more relaxed evening. Which is not to say, of course, that there will be any lack of glamour. This year’s nominees include Emily Blunt, Emma Stone, Natalie Portman, Winona Ryder, Amy Adams, and Nicole Kidman, among others, while Lily Tomlin will be honored with the SAG Life Achievement Award.
