Neymar Jr. and Michael Jordan Debut Air Jordan Collaboration
If Michael Jordan is the GoaT (Greatest of All Time), then Neymar Jr. is the kid, on his way to sport legend status. The retired basketball player and the 24-year-old Brazilian soccer player convened last night at the Academy Mansion on the Upper East Side to unveil their NJR x Jordan collection of sneakers. The event drew from the worlds of fashion, music and athletics – models Chanel Iman, Ajak Deng, The Public School designers; Fat Joe, Fabolous, Kelly Rowland; and Victor Cruz and Carmelo Anthony. For the occasion, Rowland sang Destiny’s Child throwbacks including ‘Survivor’ and ‘Cater 2 U,’ her own song ‘My Boo,’ plus a Bob Marley cover of ‘Is This Love’ and ‘Crazy’ by Gnarls Barkley.
