Michael Kors Cast the Most Diverse Models for His Fall 2017 Show
With Edie Campbell opening the show in a camel-colored overcoat and Kendall Jenner closing in a fringe-adorned midi-dress, Michael Kors filled his runway, as always, with a cross-section of the coolest girls in fashion then and now. Between Campbell and Jenner, there was Bella Hadid (who, this season, managed to stay on her feet), Aymeline Valade, Carolyn Murphy (who told us earlier this week Kors’s show was the only one tempting her), Amber Valletta, Joan Smalls, Frederikke Sofie, Sora Choi, and more. He also made an uncommon push for diversity: In addition to the classic supers like Valletta and Murphy, now entering their forties, putting them among the oldest catwalkers, Kors also cast plus-sized model Ashley Graham, once a Sports Illustrated cover girl and now a New York Fashion Week darling.
