It only took four years for Marta Marques and Paulo Almeida of Marques’Almeida, the 2015 winner of the LVMH Prize, to turn fringed denim hems into the brand’s worldwide signature. Since making waves with baggy denim legwarmers, sleeves down to the models’ knees and other eye-catching alterations at their first runway show in 2011, the design duo has continued to experiment with denim dyes and silhouettes (also throwing in some fuzzy oxfords for good measure along the way).
