And, so, it came to pass that New York Fashion Week arrived at its grand finale with Marc Jacobs, though not at night nor at the Park Avenue Armory as usual, but in the afternoon – at 2 p.m. on the dot – and at Hammerstein Ballroom, an appropriate venue for a rave-inspired collection featuring outré hair, big platform shoes (again), and baby doll dresses that totally transformed some of fashion’s most recognizable models, like newly anointed Royal Irina Shayk.
