Madonna, Kate Moss Celebrate Edward Enninful’s OBE

On Thursday night, Fashion Royalty descended upon Mark’s Club in Mayfair to celebrate W‘s very own Creative Director Edward Enninful. He had received the honorary title of Officer of the British Empire earlier that day at Buckingham Palace from Princess Anne, for his services to diversity in the fashion industry. Guests included a mix of icons from the worlds of fashion, music and art. Madonna arrived with photographers Mert and Marcus, who opened their exhibition across the road at Phillips just an hour before. Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss, Irina Shayk, Lara Stone and Adwoa Aboah represented the top models squad, while designers Sarah Burton, Alessandro Dell’acqua, Jonathan Anderson, Philip Treacy, Kim Jones, and Simon Porte Jacquemus all raised a glass after Jonathan Newhouse’s charming speech. After dinner (which included Enninful’s own Jollof rice recipe on the menu), Erin O’Connor, Kristen McMenamy, Charlotte Tilbury and Tinie Tempah moved upstairs to dance to DJ FatTony’s 90s hits, while photographers Tim Walker, Emma Summerton and Paolo Roversi shared their anecdotes in a corner. Later, “EE OBE” hazelnut and chocolate cookies were served, and everyone felt like one big fashion family. As Campbell put it in her heartfelt speech: “Edward, there ain’t no mountain high enough, ain’t no river wide enough to keep me from you.”
