Lion Babe’s Jillian Hervey and Lucas Goodman, Afropunk Veterans, Take On the Atlanta Festival
When curly-maned Lion Babe singer Jillian Hervey and her bandmate Lucas Goodman took the stage at Afropunk Atlanta over the weekend, it was before an eager audience that also included Hervey’s mother, actress and one-time Miss America Vanessa Williams. The duo are Afropunk veterans — they played the Brooklyn edition the previous summer alongside fellow alums like SZA and Kelela — and this time, they documented the whole thing on disposable camera.
