Georgian Street Style Comes into Its Own at Tbilisi Fashion Week
Sandwiched between Armenia and Russia and home to both cobblestones and Soviet structures, Georgia’s diverse capital of Tbilisi has started to enter the spotlight in recent years, thanks in no small part to the take-off of one of its former residents, current Balenciaga and Vetements designer Demna Gvasalia. His buzz has carried over back home, too, meaning that this season, the city’s showgoers are kicking it up a notch, opting for brighter, bolder colors (along with, of course, some Vetements.)
