Even without her lasso and shield, Gal Gadot looks as though she could save the world. Like her comic book alter ego, Gadot is stunning and skyscraper tall, with a gracious, lovely demeanor. In W‘s May 2017 cover, she is every bit the Wonder Woman she portrays in the upcoming blockbuster, the first time in more than a decade a woman will headline a superhero film. Whether she’s baring her shoulders in a Burberry trench or looking seductive in nothing but a coquettish Gucci cardigan and Hermès swimsuit, the former Miss Israel and mother of two is the Wonder Woman we need today, a beacon of truth, beauty, love, and goodness in an uncertain age.
