FREE ARTS NYC 17TH ANNUAL ART AUCTION: CELEBRATING GLENN O'BRIEN HOSTED BY RICHARD PRINCE & FENDI

Inside the Surrogate’s Courthouse on Wednesday night, Richard Prince was hosting the 17th annual art auction for Free Arts NYC, which provides art education and mentoring to underserved kids. Guests ranged from art bigwigs including Jeffrey Deitch, Thelma Golden, Christopher Wool, and Hannah Liden to society staples Jemima Kirke, Hilary Rhoda and Claire Distenfeld. The evening may have honored editor Glenn O’Brien, but it was Prince whose piece was picked up by gallerist Tony Shafrazi during the live auction. But everyone went home with a piece of O’Brien: a copy his book, How to Be Man, could be found inside each gift bag.
