Solána Rowe, also known on stage as SZA, is a hip-hop/R&B singer originally from St. Louis, Missouri who was raised Orthodox Muslim. In 2013, she became the first female artist to be signed to the hip hop record label Top Dawg Entertainment. Her most recent album “Z,” which she released in 2014, features artists like Kendrick Lamar and Chance the Rapper. Now, at the age of 25, she’s known for both her sound and her unique style. We gave her a camera at the 2016 Panorama music festival this past weekend, and she captured her day on Randall’s Island from beginning backstage, to on stage, to the very end, when she fell asleep in the green room.
