In the Mood For…Beachy, Bleachy Blondes
Stars like Taylor Swift, Jennifer Lawrence, and, most recently, Kristen Stewart have debuted their new platinum locks this year, harnessing that slightly shocked, fried texture of hair that’s seen the bleach and turning their new ‘dos into chic, beachy bobs. But for summer, short isn’t the only way to go — longer tresses highlight that beachy texture and recall the French gamines of the ’50s and ’60s (think of the iconic image of Brigitte Bardot running down the beach at Cannes). We’ve already showed you how to get the look; here, find styling inspiration straight from the W archives, including looks modeled by Miley Cyrus, Kate Moss, and Lara Stone. Pro tip: It works especially well with an ultra-dark, vampy lip.
