Allison Williams’s Style Evolution As Girls‘s Ultimate Girl Next Door

by Alexandra Pastore

With the highly anticipated series finale of HBO’s Girls on Sunday, Allison Williams is wrapping up her breakout role as Marnie Michaels. Despite growing up a scion as the daughter of news anchorman Brian Williams, the actress came into her own as the lovable, often insufferable best friend of Lena Dunham‘s character. While Marnie has certainly had her share of fashion hits and misses, off screen the actress has become a fashion girl in her own right. A regular on the red carpet, gala circuit, and front row at fashion week, Williams always catches our eye, and often ends up on W’s Best Dressed list. From event to event, the star a huge range of looks, but always stays true to her signature in a girl next door meets classic, feminine silhouettes style. While she always stuns in monochromatic looks, Williams is also quite daring with her looks, often opting for gowns that add a dramatic, girly flare to an otherwise classic silhouette. Here, we take a look at some of her best looks over the years.
