Though the Pirelli Calendar has historically depicted gorgeous models in revealing poses, it’s taken a turn towards in recent years, focusing increasingly on breaking the mold of the bombshell silhouette it once celebrated. The 2016 calendar, photographed by Annie Leibovitz, featured powerful, groundbreaking artists and celebrities like tennis player Serena Williams, punk rock icon Patti Smith, and musician-slash-performance artist Yoko Ono — and the 2017 calendar is no different. Photographed by Peter Lindbergh for the third time, its stars are a diverse swath of the Hollywood landscape: Charlotte Rampling, Uma Thurman, Nicole Kidman, Léa Seydoux, Alicia Vikander, Kate Winslet, Julianne Moore, Robin Wright, Lupita Nyong’o, Rooney Mara, Jessica Chastain, Anastacia Ignatova, Penelope Cruz, Helen Mirren, and Zhang Ziyi are all featured.
